(repost from renaultsport.co.uk) This took my ownership of LY300 to over 10000 miles! Mammoth trip round the lake district, followed by a blast over the buttertubs pass and then one of foxspeed's famous east coast runs! Just a few photo's i grabbed along the way;
This place is off kirkstone pass and is called 'the struggle'- the brakes didn't thank me!

The weather was glorious through out the trip!

Some damage sustained- not as painful as the flies end!

That beautiful scenery reminded me of this meet.

A challenging and enjoyable wee drive you had there by the looks of it Simon. :approve:

It was, tough and scary in places- wynrose pass is not exactly vee friendly. The smell of brakes down the kirkstone pass and the struggle. The fact i managed to get all fans going in windermere scaring local pedestrians (they gave me a fright first time it happened)- the vee was being grumpy.
Only downside was i caught the bumper a few times- and found out that the hidden dips signs around the lake district are there for a reason- which lead to a discovery that when all 4 wheels leave the tarmac you will get winded as you land due to the car hitting the deck first- they don't tell you that in the movies!

the last vee meet was over the Wynrose Pass - and there were quite a few bumps, scrapes and bangs from the Vees bumpers!

nice photos mate looks like you had a good trip.

Great pics Simon!.. Its great in the Lakes, love it.. I think the last time i was up there was in the link that James posted.. fun times walking in the mist.. lol

I cycled up Kirkstone pass and 'The Struggle' a couple of years ago whilst on a mountain bike holiday there.. boy was it ever a struggle too.. lol Thank heaven for the pub at the top.. :)

Wow, wonderful pics. When I was in the lakes last september for my honeymoon I thought about how awesome it would be to drive a Vee down some of those roads (and how glad I just had the Ka down some others!)

The first few shots remind me of "Wheres wally?"

Maybe we should do a "Wheres the Vee?" Calender :rofl:

Good stuff pugs :approve:

Stunning photographs. You don't get roads/scenery like that in Essex!
And people look at me funny when i say i'm lucky to live in stoke!
Within 2hrs drive i can be in the lakes, yorkshire moors, wales and peak district- its not good for my pledge to keep the mileage low!
