What a weekend. Just got home now and rushed to the laptop to do the pics! Well worth the journey over and back though. Missed seeing lots of vees on the open road rather than in a static field.

All met up at Lancaster and Travelled to Ings, where we managed to get a 2014 group shot - which is rare. Was going to put username bubbles over everyones head but couldn't be bothered. My shorts on for the day worked in bringing good weather too!

The silver ones did seem to stick together for the first part of the meet, all parking next to one another away from the rest of the Vee herd. They soon became more intergrated as the day went on though and held there own against some of the faster colours

Driving up the Kirkstone Pass was a tight squeeze and I think we gave a few cyclists a fright as we trundled past. Got lairy when buses tried to squeeze down past us and it was a 'hold ya breath' moment on a few occasions. We stoppod half way down at the small car park where we took a decade to all fit in but managed 15 vees in a small space eventually.

The blue ones also seemed to group together

Off over past the beautiful, idyllic shores of Ullswater we progressed at a steady pace, managing to keep just about in convoy apart from the odd Civic or Corsa which seemed intent on wedging amongst the pack..each to their own! Lunch was fab and gave us a chance to chill out for awhile, enjoy some nice food and take in the mornings drive, or for some it was a chance to get the speed detailer and microfibers out and give their car a polish (mentioning no names......)
It was also a nice opportunity to meet some new members and have a chat about their experience of vee ownership. It's funny how after owning one for a number of years we forget how special these little cars are.

After our fill we were back on the road again, led by Phill and his trusty sat nav towards Honister Slate mines.

We decided to pull over on the way up for the group shot but then saw a bus adamant on getting past us, needless to say I sprinted back from half way up the mountain to move my car, from which he was inches away from scraping...ouch! Got a fab shot of all 15 in a line and even managed to keep my feet dry this year!

Brew break at the top and a chance to take in the scenery which looks completely different in the sun this time round.

Managed to get a sneaky shot of mine

Onwards through the small Lakeland Villages with nodding glances of approval from onlookers. Always funny to hear people counting, "one clio, another Clio, oh look lots of Clios!!"" It is true as well that sound travels faster than light now! As people heard us coming before they spotted us as most of the echausts resonated against the slate build walls and windows vibrated!

Lost a few coming out of Keswick but gave us chance to do an 'exhaust off'

All in all a brilliant weekend meet which had lots of great roads, fantastic company and lots of laughs! Renault only sold a car but the club certainly provides the experience of ownership! Roll on next Summer! :race:
