idle

Hi all, hope all is well :) i'm having an issue with idle to explain, if i pull up to a junction, or take it out of gear before i'm at a stop, idle falls to almost stall, (rarely stalls, but it does happen) so i have to keep it up a little by keep giving it a little gas, once the car has...

after changing my head and cambelt, my car doesnt idle wen its cold. its only after 10 mins of driving wen its warm its idles. its fucking pissing me off. u cant change the idling on valves, any 1 got any ideas . cheers

my car is idlein at 400rmp n stalls most of the time. any elp. its a ph1 engine in a phase 2 car...

hey again guys.. topday my car passed mot yay.. but since they adjusted the mixture for me the car stalls when u put ur foot on the clutch and wen u come up to junctions etc it pops and bangs violently..when its cold it will idle ok.. any ieas wot this could be? cus iw anna start driving it :D

Just trying to iron out the idle issue on the new car. So far Ive changed; ¬ ISCV ¬ Throttle body & TPS ¬ Spark plugs ¬ HT Leads It has got better and is now idling around 1200-1300rpm but seems to be fluctuating all of the time. Any other ideas? Craig

ok can anybody list all the possiblities why a car would idle at 4k please ie which sensors and so forth cheers peeps :?

Had a service, oil & filter change etc yesterday and my rsi now idles nicely just below 1000, when I bring myself to a standstill at lower speeds, or from high speeds gradually, the continues to tickover on standstill, however if I flog it and bring it to a standstill straight away the revs come...

last weekend i finally got my car moving again after a while off the road, it was idling quite low and occasionally cutting out at junctions, but it appeared to sort itself and by the wnd of last wkend was ticking over just under 1000 and running fine. i dont drive it on weekdays just weekends...

sometimes in my car its idling fine then it seems like its misfiring then just revs up abit and ticks over fine for a few secs, it does it when driving to the car like bogs down then picks back up fine, the car can be hot or cold when it does it, any ideas?

started messin about a few days ago then seemed to sort its self out!! but today it started again.... its idling hign one minute 1100-1200rpm then sometimes it"ll be on the verge of stalling at about 500rpm!! if you blip the throttle it sorts it out for a bit but sure enough a few moments...

my reno 19 16v is running in the 1200rpm. How do i adjust it to its proper rpm?

Iceberg is idleing really bad. Its struggling for idle when cold and warm. im going to clean the ISCV out tomrow but dont have a fecking clue where it is. I know Marc had a picture of the location can anyone help?

hi. i have a 19 16v phase 2. when i rev the engine or change gear the revs stay up and take a while to go back to normal. also when the car is ticking over the revs are up and down a bit. could this be something to do with the idle control valve or could it be something else. has anyone got any...
