Right, thought i'd cured this a few month back by fitting new leads but no, its back to haunt me. Basically the car will idle fine but if left for a few minutes the revs will start to yo-yo between 300-900rpm and then stall if its not gunned a bit. Any thoughts? I suspect a good blast...

Morning all. OYT has developed an annoying idle when on cold. Drops revs and occasionally cuts out. Seems to only happen when its cold, so I'm led to believe, from what I've been told, its the the coolant temp sensor? Whats the score? Easy to change? Ta :)

1.9 Pahse 2 16v has a high idel at approx 1200 rpm. This is constant from starting (always first time) and remains so even after a good run (20miles) I have followed the guide to clean the ICSV Valve but to no avail. Any ideas? Cheers BM

hi need some assistance guys renault 19 16v f7p eng.. dodgy idle changed plugs, leads, rotor arm, disy cap, coil still 2 no joy took off throttle body and iscv cleaned them still the same!!! any answers?? ordered a coolant temp sensor as someone said that might be answer... please help...

heya guys, my valver will start and idle at around 1100 - 1500 revs or it will start, fire up then die straight away! :( i have adjusted the throttle cable under the bonnet (hence why it idles high!) but everytime you floor it in first then clutch and pull to a stop, it just dies! :evil...

just the other day when i was at the lights the engine sounded funny and it was idling at about 500-600rpm.. just the one time tho.. idle valve maybe got confused or something :lol: otherwise working just fine..

Another slight prob, can't get her to idle below 1500rpm+, tried different ISCV and TPS made no difference. I'm using piper cams which is all new to me, can cams raise the idle like this? If I block the ISCV and the screw on the TB is in full it's down to 1100ish. It's the same hot and...
