is 1100 then 950rpm to begin which i think is normal but then when warm the engine idles at either 1250 or 1400 and pulses a little. Is there something obvious causing this? i've checked the throttle cable and it does not affect the issue.

adjusted tappets engine nice and ouiet idle gone a bit lumpy should i speed it up a bit. also seems throttle cable may have slipped on rocker covwer when unbplting it as dont seem as responsive. whats idle speed for this car a 1.4 old style.

its the ICV. Its always the ICV. It controls the idle. Its located at the front left of the car , below the plenium chamber. Clean it with gallons of WD40 .. and all shall be fine

Hey people not been on here for ages, but have devoloped an issue.. Turn the car over from cold and it wont idle, needs maybe a minute or so at higher revs until it warms then it idles resonably well. idles perfect once warmed up properly.. Its a f7r engine that has the issue.. Cheers

I have discovered that my ICV is shafted and finding one is proving a little difficult. I have a theory that if i remove the ICV and block it off, I can use the idle screw on the top of the throttle body (the one that is blocked off) to set the idle speed manually. Is this a sound theory or...
