19 XR25 software

Hi, some years ago I got an XR25 to USB cable and downloaded some XR25 which allowed me to connect my computer to my R19.

It worked well but I have not used it for some years and I no longer have access to the software.

I downloaded it from this thread:

Anyone know where I can get a copy of the sofrware? (I'm aware that it might not work with modern versions of windows😞)

Thanks in advance

Does this software have the capability to do ABS bleed?
Urrm, I have to confess it has been about 9 or 10 years since I last used it and I can’t really remember…. But I am 95% sure it is read only. Only get output from the engine.

I think Chet might still be a bit active on Facebook- he would be able to confirm.

To fix the font issue, unpack and install them by hand from the desktop.
The install script fails on this.

Procedure:
After initial install:
Copy all files in the folder ``"C:\website\clip\fonts"`` to ``"C:\WINDOWS\Fonts"`` and confirm any messages with "OK".
In Windows XP: Install with Control Panel -> Fonts from ``"C:\website\clip\fonts"`` and restart!

The above is required due to a security change. Previously you could copy any font into c:\windows\fonts and it would work.

Sadly this was exploited :(

Where you get the xr25 cable to usb from?
I personally use an AutoDia E327 K409 USB to ODB2 Cable (Originally intended for VAG/AUdi, but it needs a firmware patch to flip the K-Line logic. The prodedure is translated from my archive of the broken former german espace-freunde.net forum

In order for the diagnostic interface to establish a connection to the control unit together with XR25-PC, the following must be done once:
  1. Install FTDI D2XX driver (available here: D2XX Drivers - FTDI
  2. Install FT_PROG FTDI EEPROM Programming Utility (available here: Utilities - FTDI)
  3. Use the FT_PROG program to establish a connection to the AutoDia interface (click on the magnifying glass) and change the values as follows: under
    Code:
    FT-EEPROM > Hardware-Specific > Invert RS232 Signals > RXD
    , check the
    Code:
    Invert RXD
box (see picture) and reprogram the EEPROM (click on the lightning bolt symbol).
  4. Unplug and replug the Adapter!
After that the diagnosis with the XR25-PC should work without any problems.

The original german author Daniel got the idea from this Russian site: http://www.drive2.ru/cars/renault/clio/clio_i/axlamon/journ (not available anymore)

Best regards and have fun diagnosing.

If you want to adapt for the older Renault diagnosis jack, there is a wiring for an 12-Pin to OBDII Adapter included in the XR-25PC docs, or buy it here

Hi. Have you found a solution, please? Could you share it?
Sorry, missed replying to this.

To be honest I simply have not had time. I see 2 options:

-Try to install windows 7 on a virtual machine (something like Virtual Box) and hope that the USB drivers work.

-Try to find an old laptop that is running Windows 7 and use that.

My car has been off the road for the winter but I need to start thinking about it as we head towards the spring.
