WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT DONINGTON 8th-9th September 2007

Dear Renault Enthusiast,

The World Series by Renault at Donington is the ninth meeting in the Renault Histoire & Collection Trophies 2007. It will take place at the Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit in the United Kingdom on September 8-9, 2007

General WSR admission tickets are free. They entitle you to park in the public parking area, enjoy all of the racing and qualifying and visit all the exhibition areas. You can obtain these tickets free of charge from any Renault dealer.

Please note that the free tickets will not entitle you to access to the Collectors' parking area. To park in the Collectors' (or club) exhibition area and participate in the additional Collectors' events you must pre-register and pay a registration fee. You will then receive a vehicle pass.

Benefits include:

• Official Participating Event: 'Challenge des clubs et Trophée des Collectionneurs Renault Histoire & Collection 2007'. • Renault hospitality unit with coffee, tea, soft drinks & biscuits. • Goody bag from Renault Histoire & Collection. • Meguiars concours with Trophies and Gift bags. • PARADE LAPS for registered vehicles (subject to availability). • GALA EVENING for all registered collectors and guests.

You will find all the information you need here: http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... ration.pdf
This year will also see the return of the Renault Histoire & Collection team and celebrity drivers including René Arnoux, Jean Ragnotti, Alain Serpaggi, Gérard Larrousse, Michel Leclere, Erik Comas & Manu Guigou!

There will be a charge of £7 per vehicle payable in advance. This will allow the admission of one car and any number of passengers to the Collectors' parking area. It will also entitle the driver to any of the additional Collectors' benefits including participation in the Collectors' Parade(s) and a goody bag.

Only eligible vehicles will be permitted entry to the Collectors' area. These include most Renaultsport, Classic Renault, Renault Turbo & Alpine models. Admission of other vehicles including modified standard cars is at the organisers' discretion.

e.g. All Pre 1970 Renaults, R8S, R8G, R12G, R17G, R5G, Alpine A110, A310, A610, GTA, Clio 16V, Clio Williams, Clio 172, Clio 182, Clio V6, 5GT Turbo, R9T, R11T, R21T, R25T, R5 Turbo 1 & 2, Megane Sport Coupe, Megane 225, Spider etc. This list is not exhaustive.

Certain Renault powered models are also acceptable. Please ask for approval or advice if you are unsure.

(If you know of a club that has not been invited then please let me know and pass on the information). The event is open to all Renault Clubs and members with eligible vehicles.

There are a number of additional rules for the Parades this year:

i. Passengers in collectors' cars taking part in the parade laps must wear a
safety belt at all times, this includes passengers in rear seats.

ii. All passengers must wear clothing covering arms and legs.

iii. Cars not fitted with seat belts must not take passengers for rides
during the parade laps. Only the driver is allowed.

iv. No passengers under the age of 12 years old may take part as passengers
in the collectors' parade laps.

I have already applied for the tickets on the net. Never got asked for payment etc for the collectors area.

Have done this on the right part?

Steve

Steve,

These tickets are entrance only i.e. to the venue and main car park.

If you want to be in the collectors area, as we were last year, you have to apply additionally and also for the Gala evening. These charges are modest and really add the extra value to the event IMHO.

Martin

I have some of the standard free tickets already. Is there gonna be a club stand then? If i'm going anyway I may as well get in the collectors area :-p Again not committing till next week though :)

No, no club stand as such as most of us will be amongst the official Renault collectors area. But if a bunch of other V6 owners want to get together and arange it, there is no reason you canot park together somewhere on the infield.

Dan :D log onto the URL under Mark's post above (7 posts up) and you can download the forms to actually get in the 'collectors area' with your Vee :approve: There's quite a few of us off here who are doing that, and have also registered for the gala evening too :D It depends what you're into and how you want to spend your day, but it would make sense if you're coming as a club member from here, that you're with us lot..! :D

Jainy
:D

Thanks Jainy, I should have mentioned its not too late to register.
A few things to remember though, the collectors area is in the infield, so dont commit to it if you want to get home in time for songs of praise as it took a lifetime to get out last year!
If you are there Saturday, also buy a ticket for the Gala evening.......you WILL not regret it and a V table could be on the cards!
Last year the event was hosted by non other than Kid Jenson and this year, believe me, if your into Renaults and their drivers from the past you will not want to miss it. Ask K1ano all about it!

A VEE-table would be ace me thinks Mark....be good to socialise with like-minded Vee owners over a few cheeky ones....!! :D :D (well diet coke for me, but then again, as most on here can probably vouch, I don't need any alcohol to be exceptionally cheeky..!! [smilie=icon_snigger.gif] ) :D

Jainy
:D

Can i do the collectors area without the Gala evening as I had already organised to go with a few other mates? But I'd still like to park up and parade with the rest of you :)

Dan

Yes, you pay for them both separately hun...£15 for the gala night and £7.00 to register for the Collectors Area....:D Just send the form back for the Collectors Area..!

Jainy
:D

Yes the Gala evening was excellent as was the whole weekend - it really was.

I did a text only write-up on my site.

Martin

Yes, sure it is. We're all staying at a hotel nearby.....a few of us have managed to get into the same one...:D

Jainy
:D

Ah, is the camping at the circuit? Can I just pitch a tent next to the Vee in the collectors area :) ? Having a bit of trouble finding any info about it on the RWS website... Or do I have to find a campsite nearby and sort it out? I actually have friends in Derby now I think about it, but camping sounds like more fun :p

Dan

Forgive my ignorance! Which is the form to fill out - is it the Alpine Owners Club form? Which Hotel is everyone staying in too - need to book one! First time to show the yellow Vee off too!

Thanks.
