White van man has decided to pull across the oncoming traffic on a main road onto a private drive way and with out pausing, shove the van in reverse and straight out in front of me! I managed to swerve half way round him before he made contact with the passenger wing mirror backwards. To top it off, he said it was my fault!
The white van is so battered you can't see through the existing damage where its calved up the side of my car
F###ing C### comes to my mind! another 200 meters way a major roundabout
Highway code
201

Do not reverse from a side road into a main road. When using a driveway, reverse in and drive out if you can

You dont have much luck driving do you Andy ?

Is it going to be an insurance job ?
it will be for me as its a company car, but the van was in such a state, you couldn't tell, so he wont be claiming.
I drive about 35K a year, which is less than it used to be. You know what, nearer to home and on the Bluetooth hands free to a colleague, I'm going round a roundabout with traffic lights. My lights have just turned green and another white van C### jumps the lights so slow joining the roundabout, it was unreal! He wasn't even jumping the lights or joining the roundabout in a normal way, give way to the right!

I guess for the mileage I drive, I'm not doing to bad
Tonight
December last year, BMW drives into the back of me when I'm in a cue of traffic
about 5 years a taxi decides to exit a roundabout at the last minute hitting the side of me stating half way down the car, wasn't like the other half of the car was in front of him!
Before that was over 10 years ago when a merc thought he could turn right in the left lane at another roundabout in Milton Keynes and even the Police and his son were telling hem it was his fault.

Look, I'm no saint, but the last time it was my fault was my Blue 2Wd 21T that didn't involve anyone else and was about 12-13 years ago

I drive for work so see a lot of moments :ireful2.gif:

In the eyes of insurance a reversing vehicle will always be at fault, hence why people don't want to stop and wait anymore.
Accidents on round a bouts will be settled 50/50 which is a joke, you're meant to be able to predict what the other idiot might do and be able to stop/avoid an accident.
Using a hands free device can result in prosecution for driving without due car and attention, they wanted to ban them but felt it would be impossible to enforce where as they can prove you were holding the phone.

Surprising how many people don't know these facts.

I love it when someone pulls out infront of you and tells you to slow down, even when you're traveling below the speed limit and the road is clear behind you, causing you to emergency brake, then giving a few hand signals and driving off :offtopic.gif:

I know what you mean, I see and avoid thousands more than I make contact with. My worst fear when driving is doing something wrong, and when having a passenger, its even worse.
Regards hands free, I also know what you mean. Even though I'm not holding the handset to my ear, it is still distracting. but when your driving at less than 30, and some old F###ing tw''t doesn't know/realise what he's doing its a joke!

Recently I seem to be getting cut up by the older person that generally does not know they have even done anything! Now that is scary it's one thing to have some prick cut you up and flip you off but at least they are aware that they have been nobs but people that are oblivious to the carnage they nearly caused are the real danger.

I was a passenger in a van yesterday on the m1. Watched some dippy bint in a silver 57 focus with tyres marks down the drivers side door and front wing driving along with her phone in her hand on speaker for nearlu yhe entire length of juncs 31 to 29. And she wonders why i was miming get off the fucking phone you cunt through the glass. Some people.....:read.gif:

My commute to work is only a couple of motorway junctions and I see people mostly young people looking down into their phone on their laps. Probably updating Twitter
"About to have a crash #Yesimaprick"
