What can you get for the average UK house price in your area. .

Am loving seeing what people can buy locally to them, some very nice examples.

On a personal note, my house went live on the market around lunch time...

For those who want to have a nose Check out this property for sale on Rightmove!

2 bookings tomorrow, a offer without seeing the house for a few grand less (agent is confident they can come to full asking price when they view -cash buyers), 2 viewings in the week lined up aswell...

We shall watch this space...

Edit : I am aware my shed door fell off, blame Dorris for that (tbf it was barely hanging on), this will be fixed in the morning... Sods law I was out when the photos where done)

My house went on the market mid day yesterday, 4 viewings today, 2 full price offers at the viewing, we have 5 more booked in for this week....

Going to be interesting... :)

When we moved almost 3 years ago, the house went on for 160k, sold it over that weekend, but missed out on the house we were looking at. 3 months later we found the house we have now, but our house had gone up by 20k, so relisted it t 180k. Got a bidding war on and it went for 185k

Glad it worked out for you..

Tbh I was happy to get 235, anything more was a bonus...

Owning 25% of my house makes it a very easy sale, but one of the offers is a landlord buying 100%, ideally I would like it stay part buy part rent as there are not many houses out there like it can help a family out who can't afford a full mortgage or have that option available to them... But I will have to think about the offer with least hassle etc.

Browsing Rightmove and I found my parents old home that I grew up in. My dad bought the last plot of land in the road and had the house built, before my Grandad and his firm built an extension above the garage. So many memories from number 23. Some good, some hilarious :ag:

House Price History

I can't believe it last sold for that much. Over twice what we got for it! :be:

Trastvägen 6, Orrängen Oskarshamn this is what you get for about 200k-210k in my area .i have noticed that you never talk about the size of The house more then how many bedrooms, not M2 (sguare meters)

I think if we talked about m2 in the UK 1/2 the market wouldnt know what we meant. Some use ft2 , some m2 and some have no idea ! :)

To us in the UK we seem more bothered about room numbers than size. No idea why

Its hard to get some feeling how big a house is by counting rooms :) On suite is something we dont have so the bedrooms is bigger

Makes me laugh when people say oh has an ensuite.... I don't get the big deal about them tbh, do I mind sharing my bathroom with my family? Course not? Do I mind cleaning my bathroom for my kids... Course not.... That may change when the become lazy teen-agers but teach them manors etc, hopefully it will be ok... As it happens my new house has an ensuite... But I wouldn't be bothered if it didn't.
