Wet passenger floor……?

Dear all, have a "strange" fluid on the floor (left side/passanager) it has an acidic taste to it???? Its not really got an odor….
I have taken the wipers off and removed the trim, cleaned out the area and vents. Checked the washer fluid hose and all the door seals, seem to be getting in close to the central consul and runner back(over a period of time) to rest under the CD changers????
Any one got any idea or a clue as to what this is????

Cheers in advance.

Matt

Check the engine coolant, sounds like a leaky heater to me, also check the heater drains are not blocked and water is going through the heater, rotting leaves really gung things up and stink! A bit of tissue will help identify what is coming in possibly.

Any ideas where this heater drain pipe is??? Had the carpets out and dried out everything, went for a drive with the air con on full cold…. Nothing but over night(no rain) its now wet again. Seems as its more of a rear leak/ingress , help….. Matt

I assume you are referring to the aircon drain pipe? The evaporator and with it the drain pipe is outside of the car, right were the cabin air filter is. Remove the front tray and you should be able to see it. Run the AC and check if there is water dropping out of it after a few minutes. If so, it should be ok.
