wanted actuator!!

P

pauls21t

Well as usual nothing is ever simple

just fitted a bleed valve and removed 1st gear limiter :D
and what happens boost maxes out at 13psi :( even with the valve open fully. Its time to replace the actuator plus invest in a dump valve that is not standard this should sort it!!

Nope.

Unless you are after an actuator with a stronger preload (-32 or -34) then i'm afraid you'll be sorely disappointed.
Dump valve will make no difference to boost pressure either. (Unless it's screwed and is leaking charge)

Check your whole pressure system for leaks, properly, not just a quick peek, take it to bits. If it's ok then put a second bleed in the actuator feed line.
it's wierd, some bleed valves are ok on their own, some don't seem to take away enough pressure and you need a second drain to make enough difference. Make sure all connections are tight and secure and dont remove the overboost cut off switch, reset it about 2-3psi above your required max boost level. (mine's set at 22ish).

hi dave the dump valve on this one leaks the boost also it is running under half on the boost gauge so i think it's about 8-10 psi. funny thing with this one is u remove the screw part of the bleed valve and it still boosts the same, thought to myself it might have weak spring what you think?
