Ventureshield

Let me tell you from the outset, I'm not exactly a detailer. My car gets washed regularly, but not had time to give the V6 an all over polish and wax yet. But will be doing over the next few weeks

Now it has got the clear protective film on the sills and the bumper to stop those horrible stone chips, what do you do to them? Just wash? Wax over them? I'm presuming not polish...

Any advice welcome [smilie=thanks.gif]

I've got two cars totally covered in Venture shield !!
They get polished and even Clayed with it on !!
Ask Dawn (magpie ) and she I'm sure will give you a clue !?
I just treat it normally and try not to scratch the film, it does mark ! It's just soft plastic !
I was told to remember the film is not an invisible 'force field '
But it does stop stone chip rash on covered parts

I can echo what Nigel had said. I've just had mine redone following some paintwork. I also had it fitted to my BG v6. Brilliant stuff, and well worth the cost of getting it fitted. :approve:

That's cool Danny.. I just treat it the same as the rest of the car generally, as Nigel mentioned. I don't use any 'polishes' on it, but I do wash it as normal with the rest of the car.. use waxes and sealers etc on it too. The car is rarely outside, so like the paint work, just requires light maintenance :)

Does anywhere do this stuff for Ph1's yet?

Ofcourse! It was available with/before the ph2. I know this, as when I first had it done on the BG, the guy had to down load the ph2 pattern especially as all he had was the ph1 template.. that he'd already used to cut the patterns for mine ;) lol
