Replacements undertrays are eye-wateringly expensive.
I think I'd be grateful that they are present!

Paul - I was told the under trays sag over the years so Scott ties them to improve ground clearance! As mentioned here "hideously expensive to replace" it's done for a reason mate ! He did the same on my phase one a few years ago and it stopped it bottoming out as I came off drive ! This is just a fix - not a bodge job and I would like to think people on here will back me up ! :salut:

Fair enough for the outer ones......

But not the corroded & broken inner fastenings---- don't worry - I am not upset with anyone at all - honest

This surprises me ! Scott wouldn't avoid a problem - as you know I spent a lot on "prep for sale" I have no idea how this was missed and I can only apologise! It's not a massive job and you got a good car and price ! I'm sure James can supply the correct part numbers for replacement or look in "knowledge base" it's a few missing screws at end of day.

Already sorted while the car over my ramp this evening -re-tapped and re-fixed....

Cool ! Easy fix - but don't knock Scott as we all on here have massive respect for his knowledge and his professional approach to the Renault sport Clio V6 :salut: I'm glad it's sorted :)

It is what it is Craigy.

With use of a hydraulic lift, one can inspect the underside of the car in great detail.

I for one have no idea what my Vee underbelly looks like. If I found similar to Paul, I'd probably have a tidy up too... but I'm guessing it's style over substance.

Bit OCD I guess. Lol!

Mines saggy as hell! Comes with time and having the car too low!...I really need a new undertray...but refuse to buy one at the current costs!

Yours, like many other wobbly plastic bits have distorted with age, you have extra bolts fitted to try to pull them up, bit like a pair of Bridget Jones knickers or Norah Batties stockings, not very pretty but functional

I'm sure mine is cable tied as well as bolted. I'd rather that than them fall off whilst out and about. It wouldn't be easily sorted whilst out on the road it it fell of or started dragging.

I like others rely on our mechic to reassure us our cars are tip top ! I certainly do as I just own it and pay the bills - I would have NO IDEA whatsoever.
I now have a grasshopper green corsa Nurburgring 4000 miles on a 13 plate and hoping it's in as good condition as my old V6 !

Make a nice new one out of stainless steel or alloy ...

Having said that when I had my Vee I took great care when undoing the measly bolts and nuts not to damage them, also to re-grease each time ... I would hope all specialists do this but would not be so sure that general mechanic or dealers do it, nor all owners for that matter. I don't thing some strategically placed cable ties are a bad idea as I do also remmeber distortions in my under trays.

I also saw them fitted incorrectly by dealers who worked on my car, and also saw that on other cars I.e. where the rear tray sat over the front one and not under it ...
