just a query, does the turbo gearbox always feel like you are stirring porridge with no definitive neutral point? the last one i had was bad, and this one i have now is realy stiff (not got it running yet - so will probably need new g/b oil too)
is there a cure for this?

For what its worth, i think they were always a bit 'porridgey' we are used to much better things 30 years on. The linkage is really important, my original dini is nicer than my built one for example. It is all pretty heath robinson tho' isnt it?
If the neutral isnt there, maybe missing detent springs??

the 5 speed TL i had had a pretty god change though - the HA1 box. - this just seems stiff and vague- mind you it has been sat for a while. - i also need to change the oil in it too.
