Hi
Looked at a turbo2 today in white no engine RHD converted ,got told it used to run a V8 , Its not pretty but is a genuine car as much as I can tell . Does it ring any bells with any body ?

Spent a hour looking and finding space to put it , if successful . found the work shop manual I had when I had one before but its in German.
Half a front bumper with fog light in and a front wheel (trx) various gordini suspension bits and four rear side glasses with the modified hinges still attached , atom gordini log book and vin plate and two brand new head lights I thought went with the deal . all in all a good day . but no space to put it , so something is going to go . I will take some pictures of my cars and see if you chaps can find one of them a better home .
Ah the never ending dilemma of space and financial allocation against number of cars/projects.

I think the green 'Kermit' rover V8 engined car is still green and based down near brighton, so not that one.

About 15 years back I was briefly looking for a rough R5T2 to put an R21T motor in.
Obviously like most of my ideas, it came to nothing...

Hi
update no.2 the turbo 2 has not got a Renault vin plate ,it has one, but not right ,but not on a Q plate , So basically I think its really a breaker . so unless the price comes down a bit " I'm out" . looked at my left hooker to convert but I think its to good to chop up, it would
suit a Gordini re shell better . If I do not take it any further and the chap puts it up for sale Is any body keen to take a look ? cheers Stuart

The 5 Turbo I saw some years ago had featured in Car and Car Conversions. It started its life as a Turbo 1 (so alloy roof and doors) and was built to club rally spec in France. That part of it's life ended when it went over the edge of a col. The shell was then jigged and bought by a chap in the UK for hill climbing. A fairly mildly tuned Rover v8 was put in the back and it was painted pearl white with a full beige leather interior and hillclimbed for a few years.
When I saw the car it had a Renault 20 2 litre motor on carbs but it was in pretty good nick.
