I am still into this, as long as i have a car that will get me to some other rr folk ill be there, once i reach other members they can help me fix whats broken on it...
it would be handy to get more details on this and agree on them, once we have that we can make a sticky thread with comments disabled so as not to distract from the plan at hand

i think the best way to do a trip like this is as many bodies in a car as possible.
E.G. Chet and BN join up ferry to wales (cheaper than to Scotland i think) then go get Neal etc, i head down meet with someone on the way down (pierre and chunk maybe) then head down to the ferry.
The cost will be silly if it carries on like it is. So theres no point 1 person to a car and say 20 cars with 2 ferry trips etc.

id be more than happy to group with chet on this, prob best to use one of his cars, the trip to wales is much less than scotland, but yes groups are a good idea for this one if its going to be this big, prob 200 quid to put my car on a boat, 200 for chet then petrol etc so it would be best if we grouped it

i was more thinking even along the lines of, chet gets you, on ferry, say Neals house leave chest car there go in Neals etc etc.
i dunno something that can be worked out. 2/3 to a car. I think 3 per car is probably the limit. There are not the biggest and factoring in camping gear etc there won't be much room.
Then the fuel, ferry costs etc are split between the occupants.
We'll also need some form of communication between all cars that will work abroad for sensible money. a 10 quid 2 minute phone call 15 times isn't cheap.
Or frequent stops to re-group, then if someone doesn't show someone has to head back and find their bodies :lol:
