What ever did happen to them?

Project Thunder: Reg F511 FYA Went through a shop window, dixons or Curry's or something like that. Winner had had it about a week. Such a waste.

Project Maxi (or Saxperience?): Saxo with an F2 kit. I can't find anything on this one! IIRC it was silver?

There's my formative years of cars right there..

Loved project RSKICKER but the rest were a bit pants. Max Power used to be made in Peterborough and I'd often take a ride over to the car park of the offices to take a gander at the cars, saw them all.

Mine too. Rieger wide arch kits, Tiger stripes and Image split rims wider than the river Thames :D

Yep, im from Peterborough and id very often see them out doing photoshoots on my local roads. In fact, I remember once driving back from Hunstanton to Peterborough and I had a couple of blokes in some hot hatch car trying to race me. I left them for dust, but as I was keeping roughly around the speed limit and they werent, they kept catching up with me only for me to blow them away off the next roundabout. After doing this car & mouse game a few times I let them over take only to have them flag me over waving a copy of Max Power at me.

Turned out it was a couple of guys from Max Power mag and they wanted to take pix of my 5 to feature in a forthcoming issue. I didnt have the heart to tell them I thought Max Power was sh!t and never read it, so I let them go ahead, take their pix and interview me. As it was they seemed to be more interested in the 20 year old hot blonde bird I was dating at the time.

I prefer my copy of Penthouse featuring the Penthouse sponsored 21Turbo, erotic stories and equivalent 80's hairy beavers :D

When the brother-in-law got his house the other year, he was clearing out the garage and found an old penthouse mag the previous owner had left. It was from the 80`s and it was hilarious flicking through it. All the birds had whitney houston hair cuts and had never seen a razor.

Wow quite a bump there.!
Very slightly off topic this was my favourite car from the magazines. Still think it looks ace. Screenshot_20161018-145907.webp

Which Magazine featured the story about the Carlton getting Destroyed (hopefully I'll b able to find the story about it somewhere online (or maybe NOT as it was in the Before Internet days!!) Really like the Widebody Corrado (even though I would lose them Clear Taillights for a Smoked set or even a pair done like the 16V Golf with Red & Smoked colouring! Wasn't the RS2000 running on Throttle Bodies (relatively new idea at the time!) & IIRC wasn't it built on a RS2000 Rallycar chassis that they were hoping to rebuild to F2 specs (could be wrong though!)
