Talk me out of it, and remain faithful!

I have to say that when I had my Boxster it was brilliant to drive. For me, I started to grow tired of the hassle I got on the road (spraying it krypton green didn't help) and after a couple of years we parted company. My dad has a C4S Cabriolet with 8k on the clock and it's awesome but, like the vee I'd imagine, you always feel rather conspicuous!

If you want any kind of connection with a car that has a shed load of character, then go for the Vee.
The connection once you own it is hard to describe, but many of us are in our second Vee's.

What is your daily?
I find getting the right balance of daily against the Vee keeps things extra special and also can give you the bit of comfort, practicality and quality when you want it......

I have to say something here...........and that is NO to the Cayman, especially if you are moving from a GT3 (or any other Motorsport variant). Period.

As far as Porsches go, do not get into "mass market" Porsches from the 986 & 996 onwards , especially if you like the true driving experience, since the marketing department has had too much of a say in the way the package is put together.

Having said that Evo (Richard Meadon) is singing praises of the new Cayman (seems to be far superior to the first generation, including the R), and then may be pick up one these in a couple of years (since they are bound to devalue in no time), and in the meantime buy and enjoy a Vee. Job done. Best of both worlds.

Thank you for the confidence Nas. I do try to practise what I preach, and believe in. Honest! 8)

Caymans...meh! No doubt a better car overall...yet they do not for me! I didn't even consider one when buying the Z4mc!

With 16k I'd consider a SLK55 or Exige N/a
