As title. Needed for my Gordini so must be oil cooled only no water lines.
Same as a series 1 Rs turbo or 900 saab
Message me of what you've got

the series 1 rst turbo unit would be an upgrade to the stock item

has your car been converted to a blow thru set up? if not then, you need a turbo with a carbon seal, else it will smoke badly on a gordini turbo. a normal turbo will not do.

Right then thanks for the heads up. So has anyone got a standard replacement as per sparkies comments

that'll be a no ;) i'm currently rebuilding a gordini turbo engine and the owner is weighing up sourcing a turbo from france.... the prices aren't too bad. the rebuild kit for them is cheap enough, maybe you could try and rebuild it?

Non-water cooled will be tough to find, but I do know a few people that run Turbo's with water fittings, without hooking it up. @Mart does this and so does @dip21

yeah the watercooling is for the turbo core essentially not the air/fuel

I understand that but what I gather is that the seals in a standard turbo are not viton or carbon composite , so therefore the fuel air mix will slowly deteriorate the oil seals. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what sparkie has led me to believe.
I appreciate any knowledge on this
Please keep it coming

thats correct, i was responding to just the water line part of it sorry

Ohh lol. Thought you was in to something then. Could if slapped any turbo on it , god dam it !!
Anyways. If you know anyone with a turbo that's knackered I would buy that to have a go rebuilding it. I do hydraulics for a living so any type of seal kit is easy to get hold of. And could balance it with a company opposite me, if this worked I could offer to do other peoples too

i was going to say just find a turbo you want and have it rebuilt. i think they can be machined to accept the carbon seal. Other option is convert to blow through and run any turbo you want

nothing to major, a little involved though. new bigger fuel lines and fuel pump, pipe work and adapter plate to bolt the gtt carb to the inlet manifold

Hi Martyn,

Apologies for not replying earlier and also for not replying to your pm. I am sure I have a used turbo suitable for rebuild. I will try to get to my unit over the weekend. I am very slow at the moment due to a lot going on both at home and at work.

Andrew

More hastle then finding a turbo to be honest. I've found a repair kit from melett so just wanna get a used turbo to play with , do you know anyone with a blown Gordini turbo?
