Subframe-engine-gearbox

I know, losing a lot on it but need the cash for other projects. Cant go lower in price, then its going into a corner under a sheet or use turbo-injectors ao on something else.

Trouble is finding people willing to part with the funds required to do it properly .
I've done quite a few GTA V6 rebuilds now and it's a case of finding the right customer with the right mindset to
do it .Very few out there are willing to pay for a 100% rebuild ,they will always want to ' save ' a few pennies .
OK if you are dealing with 21st century off the shelf parts but old smoker Renaults are a different game .
 
See what you mean, but if the customer goes to Jo with a requirement then that makes for an easier decision following a brief discussion?

Mick killed his 3de engine due a managment faillure...piston melted :wacko: Within 2 weeks the races at Zolder are a fact and he doesnt have the time to build another engine and go standalone (DTA). These people are not affraid to spend pennies, they also got the gto-box behind the engine. But its a fact, my engine is set up at with std managment so this will be the ultimate test. You cant compare streetplays with full race battle and if you check all the vids from MTB...they kick ass and material.

I'm done with "customers" like that. Full- rebuild at the right price and if thats 2 expansive...sorry go to someone else. 99% returns when the get prices from other company's (especialy from renault !)
 
update:

Mick fitted the engine in the europacup last week and whent today to zandvoort circuit for a testday.

Result: they are trilled about the performance and reliable status on the engine.

I'm very happy and hope that i can get some video material.

I wish Mick all the best for the next race at Zolder.
 
nice one Jo!! That for me would make it all seem worth the while! And to see you work racing (and maybe winning) has got to be a thrill on its own!!
