Some update on my F7P Turbo project

First test drive went very well, but the clutch is not friendly at all 😃
It is not heavy , just a little more than the stock one but it is almost on and off however i didn't breakin it yet so it may be worst after finishing the breakin process.

Hi, mate!
Have you test this clutch set? How it works?
Hi Mate,

It is not heavy , just a little more than the stock one but it is almost on and off however i didn't break-in it yet so it may be worst after finishing the break-in process.
I have just done 90 km till now on the car in my first day of driving, but it is not fun in traffic other wise it is good so far.
You can't move the car from steady with just removing your leg a little from the clutch as the car will vibrate, you have to press gas and even not being solid fixed at specific RPM ( like 1200 RPM or so ) you need to up and down the RPM to try to get a smooth movement which not so easy at least till now.
Hope this may help you taking your decision.

While Break-in the clutch and after 800 km of traffic and highway the clutch started to make some friction noise while releasing the clutch at the first gear, does anyone face this before with helix clio 172 clutch kit ?
Thanks in advance

Only first gear? Doesnt that suggest gearbox rather than clutch? The clutch should do it in all gears, it doesnt know what gear the car is in...

It can do it in 2nd and 3rd too uphill at low speed while i am trying to release the clutch slowly, but first gear can be heard easily.
I feel it only while releasing the clutch slowly , it seems like it is slipping at this point making such noise , if i removed my leg quickly, the car will jump without any noise.

Ive seen them fail with light use. @Mark Davis had no end of issues with Helix.

Avoid like the plague, nothing but trouble and appalling customer service. They take zero interest in helping you and just place the blame on you as the driver/customer.

Go to someone like CG on the other hand and it’s a completely different story. They couldn’t be more helpful and their aftercare is excellent.

What is CG , do you have a link please.

The clutch is not slipping, however i didn't put heavy load yet, around 7 psi , 50% percent throttle and locked the rpm till 5k now , it spins the wheels so it is not slipping the clutch.

It do this sound while releasing the clutch slowly on first gear.

However i am happy to know what other options rather than Helix clutches.

Just google CG clutches mate, based in Leeds if I recall. Basically they can make you any clutch you like.
