I totally agree, but I would like to point out, that both -4 or 6 paddle- should hold the same torque, but the 4 paddle will wear faster.I personally would go with a 4 paddle, over 6 if holding power is your main aim. The difference is the 6 paddle will spread the clamping force applied over a greater area, so more user friendly but less powerful bite.
I made this "more bite" experience since I have tried both and probably the 4 paddle friction plate can indeed hold more torque.
Maybe it bites more because it flexes more than the 6 paddle plate.
