Colin. You are 24 hours late! Run was yesterday so that proves your excuse was invalid
Hopefully Roma has only minor problems, shame he didn't make it after all the effort to get up here.
You missed a brilliant run that proves Vees don't dissolve in rain

Hope the run went well yesterday guys,

Sorry I missed it ,

I am now glad to announce I'm Back in action after today. [cmilie=iconcheers.gif] [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Decided to repair the original reluctor ring ,

Carefully welded the ring, cleaned the surface rust and chapped it back on,

After repairing the ring it was a bit oversized. I think this was due to the surface rust being removed. Also the ring may have stretched slightly due the rust build up between the drive shaft and ring ( causing it to split in the first place ! ). As a solution I welded 5 point on the inside diameter of the ring , then grinded these back slowly and periodically checked this on the shaft the ring to ensure a snug fit .

BIG thanks to Ali for organizing. Had a brilliant day. On reflection the route you selected reminded me of some of my most treasured driving experiences over the last xxxx years. A886 - mini city 1000 @'86, B836 - triumph spitfire @'88, B828 - TR7 @'92, A84 - Opel Manta @'97, A821(Duke's Pass)- Elise @'98
Saturday in the Vee is now up there too.

If only that bloke in the BM had understood that 6 Vee's in a hurry were not something to hold up on the Duke's Pass!!!

Tell me about it. I shan't be posting that video online! It included swearing, a finger and beeping of the horn.
