Happened to be in Hong Kong on business this week. Scored a Tamiya Model. Check it out.
It was hard to find.... the motor for it was a tough one too. Had to search 4 places for it.
Just like our parts on our real cars... hard to find!
Congratulations with your purchase. However, the kits are not as hard to find as you might think. They are regularly offered on Ebay (at rediculous prices) both from Tamiya as from BEN (copy of the Tamiya kit). I even saw one in a model shop over here last weekend (at €19.95).
For detailing or converting into Turbo 2 you might want to purchase the R5 Alpine Turbo from Italery (ex-esci kit) that was recently re-issued.
If you want a kit that is really hard to find, try the 1/10th scale radio controlled version from Tamiya.
Thanks for the info.
I paid around $12.00 cdn... I am sure the paint and stuff won't be cheap.
It will be the first model I have done in years... I will take it nice and slow.
