Clio S/C ph1 172 boost bus

So got a few bits done today, only trivial bits as my finances are wounded this month ( holiday booked for post afghan chill out )

My s/c oil temp gauge turned up from the states

Quite hard to find the range required tbh. charger oil inlet temps can not exceed 80.C so needed one that reads very low temps as most start from 50-60.C and are not very graduated. Also did not want to spend a lot of money the stack one I looked at is £94 + vat fk that .

So turned my attention today on filtration and location, I am going to go short on the intake side of things instead on the massive pipe reaching all the way across the bay ( not that there is anything wrong with that, I just preferred this way )

So the main problem faced here is space, it's very tight and places the filter directly behind the radiator not good for intake temps

So my plan was to move the radiator over slightly, hopefully allowing me a bit more space to locate the filter and get a bit of heat protection in too

Before

After

Not a massive amount of extra space, was about an extra 45 mm of room but should allow for a decent size filter and hopefully a decent bit less heat soak from the outflow of the radiator, Looking at options at the moment

Thinking along the lines of a pug sport type intake or simota aero form style that will fit in the gap

I could go smaller on the radiator but the standard one is rather good at its job ( will be a new one fitted as this one is scrap )

so had a bad week this week

storm Katie had my pants down

decided to run a bike shelter down my door and mirror

does anyone know if a ph 2 door will fit on a ph 1 ?

managed to get the looms and ecu's fitted, but would like to fit them in the glove box are if possible so will maybe look at making that happen, probably after my afghan trip now though

lots of wires

Pleasing! I did similar on my Volvo after a small door incident. Found the right colour door local to work for forty quid.

Great.

Save I bought it at twilight and the shade of blue was a slightly darker when I fitted the door. Epic fail.

nice work, was looking at the manifold before the turbo clio popped. good luck on the tour, looking forward to the next updates in 5 months lol
