so today sorted out the fuel pump as it needed doing, done a very short guide in case any one needs a rough idea
first off removed the old pump ( this is for a ph 1 pump btw ph2 is slightly harder)
a little smaller than the walbro 225
trial fitted the new pump but because it is larger the bottom metal retainer would not fit, so had to modify the rubber retainer rings
putting a few cuts in them allows the ring to slide further down the pump
this helps it fit in perfect so that you can get the metal retainer and bottom rubber in
so now that it all fits in i tried to get the fuel pipes connected, i re used the one on the pump as the rubber one with the kit is gash, just be careful when removing it if you want to re use it as you can see i trashed it a bit, the cable is a direct fit to the pump so no need for the one supplied
once that was all fitted, i then reused the filter bag that came with the pump as the one that comes with the kit is too big and needed to be manipulated to fit in
make sure to squash the pump down to ensure everything fits when compressed with no chafing of cables / hoses ect
job done put it back in test it works
