Running rough

Yip Craig, Daz's 21 is a Ph3 mate ... its running a bigger turbo than the standard one aswell ...

Anybody got a Renault part number for there plugs ? ..
The last time i went in to get some from Renault the guy said there were 8 different types of plugs for my 21 !!!!! ... twas a pain in the ass so i just got some NGK's from Partco instead ...

I've run NGK BP7EFVX on my phase 3 lump for 15,000 HARD miles (as you have witnessed lol) and it's never missed a beat (unless I run it out of fuel lol)

Still, by all means try a different grade if someone else has different experience. Daz you are gapping them to 0.55, thats zero point five five MILLIMETERS arn't you? NOT 55 thou (Its about 18 thou equiv)

Check your feeler blades...

Is the car a phase III ? If so it will not like the plugs your running. Personally i would only recommend the renault/equium spark plugs for the phase III.

It's the NGK plugs I have in just now, also tried it with a set of the Sierra Cossie plugs and it was doing the exact same thing, can't see it doing the exact same fault with 2 different types of plugs?

It is 0.55mm I am gapping them to, same gap I have used on all my 21t's without a problem.

Can't see why they would spark fine cold then not spark so well when warmed up though.

Once the car is taxed again next year I think it will have to be taking a trip to one of the 21t outposts down south, only way I can see me getting to the bottom of this.
