change of plan for me

i wont' be at pod

i'll either go watch some proper group C cars and old f1 cars racing at brands hatch or chill out under the gordini and Naomi's new gtturbo

soz people - but spending the day with nearly asmuch body filler as a saxo meet is starting to bore me

am i getting old?????

have a good day and time to get into the low 13's ;)

Camping....

NOWHERE lol.....but ill be at Pod, if I go anywhere, and until the people at AVON decide to spend the extortionate entry fee on the entry roads and general facilities my visits to the HOLE will be limited. Nothing has changed since I first visited 4 years ago.....despite yearly increases in price!!!!!!!!

Im off my soapbox now lol

Re: national day

Sorry Dave darlin, I didn't think you'd actually pull a sickie from work  or have you managed to get holiday/someone to cover your shift? O:)

So there's a few more 21t's coming out from under the woodwork  , nice one!! :D

Hi Lee Alison, it's Santa Pod this weekend mate...I think Avon is out this weekend. or maybe the whole year for some! :-({|=

Oh well, can't please everyone. :( Guess your not coming to the Ford Sport Nationals then Atkins?

Have a nice weekend everyone. :D

anyone going on sunday who lives near me,weybridge, surrey, will pay towards fuel/entrance fee!!really want to go,but i,am a bit of a girl towards using my car!!!this is genuine i do want to go,don,t mind what time!

had a good day at the RTOC national day yesterday, a day where reno owners could turn up and have fun, without the worry of thinking is my car good enough, as we know many feel this way when they consider attending most of the "tuning" shows, was good to see plenty of 5gtt's 21t's and even r25T and r9t and r11t came out for the day. mike48 in his quick 5gtt outdid his last 1/4 mile record with a 12.02 sec run,,outstanding!!

Did you get any photo's of the R25 turbo Lyn ???

I owned one a few years back but could not keep her in petrol...scary stuff lol,

Times.........

well wiv no boost on the 1st run it was an embarresing 15.8..ah well shite happens,,then on the 2nd run the box gave up,gears sir? what gears sir? u dont need gears sir? lucky i got a spare box and new clutch waiting to go in :)

craig got some good times by the end of the day,,and he must have setthe record for the most runs in 1 day,, 27 i think it was,, less than a pound a run,, much cheapness. might be wrong thinkcraig got his times down to 13.6 :D

lol...

yep 27 runs it was. Like my fellow welshman I believe in getting my value for money, and I think I got it. Yeh after several 13.7 sec runs, I finally managed a 13.6 run. Getting there but still a little way off my dream. Pity about Lyns prob, and lee didnt have his license as we needed more 21's running, there was another guy running his 21 but I didnt get a chance to speak to him. He did some respectable times, 14.5 secs I think, white h-reg with an evo bodykit. The day went well, nice to beat loadsa 5's. And hats off to mike for his little car, credit to him.
Craig.

Well....all I can say is...where the F**K was everyone??

It was a Renault day and we had no proper club stand! Why not?? We only had a handful of cars which where as usual a few of the hardcore members.

I spent ?100+ on petrol, entry fees & food, travelled 400miles + fully expecting to meet up with some new members & more of the usual crew after reading who said they were going on this forum. Unfortunately this didnt happen!

You wouldnt think we had over 100 members!!

Yours 'a very cheesed off founder member'

Re: National day.

Hi Lee,

Unfortuately myself and Roger were unable to make it to Santa Pod this year as Roger's Grandad's car broken down big time and well...it needed to be fixed for him to get around. He's also had to get 2 other cars fixed to sell as we are now skint. :( Priorities darlin. Sorry I should of cleared our names off.
Steve & Kerry had gone to a wedding the day before and weren't totally sure if they'd make it. Moggy dropped out as mention in a post earlier. Lee Atkins said he was going but didn't cause he got in from his Night shift at 7am sat morning and then had to stay up with his lad, Jamie as Gina had to go in for overtime.
I emailed Bruce of RTOC to request a Club Stand. Obviously it was like last year up north where we just turned up and parked together.
As for other members that said there were going and didn't......not sure on they motives.
Unfortuately "Yes" you wouldn't think that we had more than 100 members, I can't make them go through......Trax is the biggest event of the year and we only have a massive 32 members going to that. I've taken so much time to arrange lots of events last year that weren't too expensive and the only members that seem to go was myself, Roger, Moggy & Naomi and Steve kentish. :( We had the odd one or two drop in and one that put his name down for everything but never turned up to any and then I found out that is car was off road being done up. Like Lyndon said to me when I got fed up "you can't please everyone" as "everything costs that people can't always do". Fair play I say and the other thing is it's school holidays for some members, yep it's holiday time.
Best day for 21Turbo's was Saturday at Pod from what Lyn was saying.

It's the club's 5th birthday next year and I will be going out my way to sort something out for this. Nice one!! :D :-k \:D/

Sorry babe. x

Just for info Sarah club stands were being organised direct at the santa pod box office.

We have July 16th penciled in for next year i will confirm this when we decide whether we are going to take pod up on this or use another venue.

Well done to those that did attend and made the day as good as it was, glad you all had a good time and look forward to seeing you next year :D

A quick look....

at your post Sarah and still the same old names are mentioned, no-one new there.
