Bit of an update, had the car mapped by Chris at EFI. Super happy with the results and backed up my thoughts on it never being as quick as it should of been. Went to Donny the day after but unfortunately mY slave cylinder died on sighting laps so didn't even get a fast lap. Feels a lot better on the road though. Plus it has one of the best torque curves I've seen on a hybrid MK3.....


Recently I sold the OZ and bought a set of 17x9 Enkei Rp01 to replace so these have been fitted with some 235 PS4s to make it a bit more road friendly. Also got some Xenons and had a mate paint them for me. Much better now. Just a later spoiler to get then im happy with exterior.

Unfortunately not, didnt feel confident at all with it like that and not being able to really select gears especially under brakes for the engine braking.

Did take it out after lunch to trundle round for a few laps to get some photos with it on the red OZ though, which the photographer missed anyway [emoji23]

Engine shit itself last night, motorway cruising at 70 off boost and not under any real load, before people jump on the blame the mapping bandwagon.


It'll get fixed, just don't know when or how, needless to say I doubt I'll make my ring trackday in May, if any this year

Not had it on the ramp yet but from a quick look underneath we could see a rod bolt [emoji24]

Cars coming off the road and will be stored for most of the year while I save up to forge and potentially go big turbo

Still not managed to have a look and see how bad the failure is

Got a rough spec of the build now:

Pec rods and Wossner pistons
Supertech Valves
Uprated springs
Possibly some 182 cams but I'm led to beleive the 250 ones can do ~500hp
King bearings plus the usual other rebuild stuff, oil pump etc.

Nortech Mani, Downpipe and lines
G25 550 0.72AR
Turbosmart Comp 40 gate
Plex PBC Pro boost controller
Radium swirl pot fed by the Oem tank, supplying the rail and 875cc injectors, again good for ~500hp

Clutch im undecided, OE is good for the sort of torque I'll be making, 360/370lbsft and saves me some cash for now, may look an one of the Xtreme uprated kits down the line
