5 GT Turbo Roof console

Hello guys. Merry christmas to you all

I'm wondering if there's a way to take out the roof console from my GT Turbo so I can change light bulbs. I don't see any screws and I don't want to risk damaging anything before I find out whether there's a way to do this or not.

BTW what's the reason of the Infrared on the console?

Cheers
George

Actually, I think I understand the IR's presence. Is it for remote locking/unlocking? (my console is non-IR, but I saw a used console on the spares website with an IR on, which caught my attention)

If remember correctly the plate with the IR receiver just un clips then there are two T20 screws which allows the whole unit to be removed.
The interior light plate should be removable without removal of the complete unit as the lens section pops' out.

Thanks for the replies
Took out the center section.
It seems that the previous owner had never placed the lightbulb on the O/S (mine's a left-hand drive). To be honest, it never worked, so I never bothered to open the console, since the N/S worked fine until it went out a couple of days ago. After placing a lightbulb on the O/S, it seems that the light doesn't turn off, until I start the car (the light is dim, as if the doors are open, and becomes brighter if I turn the manual switch on the console ON). Does this have to do with the central locking switch? It never really worked, so my guess is that these may be correlated.
Any way to bypass this? Possibly by isolating one or more wires ending up to the loom's plug connecting to the console's circuit?

There is no linking with the CDL as standard so either someone has fitted a delay timer or one of the door pin switches has a short circuit to earth thus keeping the the light on.
