Clio Ricardo's Liquid Yellow 200 EDC

Looks good Ricardo! I guess with different tyres and the new alloy setup hard to know which has given the greatest improvements but look better B-)

Interesting to see your feedback once some fruity miles ;)

The new ET has given me an ever so slightly wider track front and rear.

It's now on 8J wheels opposed to 7.5J

215 45 17 opposed to 205 40 18

From Dunlop Sport Maxx RT to ADO8s

In theory on a dry day it should be far superior to the OE setup for overall grip. They're back off again as now the Clio goes into its second stage of changes/improvements.

There's a few more changes in the pipeline, nothing earth shattering but more functional. I'd like to get it on track again in 2018 so the mods over winter are really just for that.

Oh I'd also like to weigh the OE wheel and Turini as I'm sure there's a difference. It would be interesting to see how much the total unsprung weight difference is across the 4 corners..... As they say, every little helps.

When I have a decent amount of time I'll definitely update the thread. There's the Nurburgring trip the end of last year to add. Now we're in the new year I've started the ball rolling on some other parts, first of which is fitting the Turini trackday wheels on. I'm also hovering over the BUY button the Pro Alloy FMIC as it's on a deal at RS Tuning

A quick catch up

October 2017
Nurburgring 10 year anniversary trip

Booked well in advance this was to celebrate friends going to the infamous Nordschleife Nurburgring pretty much 10 years ago to the date. We'd decided to go a day earlier to make more of the trip so we booked up a hotel just outside Spa Francorchamps the Friday night. This long weekend was to be more focused on coming off the motorways to and from Germany to enjoy the scenic views, there isn't a rush and in the 4 days there wasn't to be a set time on being anywhere apart from the Eurotunnel.

Eurotunnel first then our first diversion to a French company called Optimiz Access who sell all parts Renault right through the model range from the classic Williams to the Megane 265. Again for no real reason other than a scenic diversion and to see what parts they might have for the Mk4 Clio.

From there we headed east to our hotel and arrived about 4pm. I've been there before, it's a beautiful part of nearby Spa. The hotel suited our needs and the pub up the road serves fantastic beer and food. With that in mind we had a few beverages.

Saturday, it made a change not having to be up so early getting to Nurburgring. Breakfast about 9am, a mooch around the vicinity of the hotel then decided to make tracks. Another diversion, again off the cuff. I have a distinct liking for Bitburger beer, a quick glance of the map and the decision was made to head over to the town of Bitburg to visit the holy grail.... And to stock up on beers and merchandise! Unfortunately the museum was fully booked for a guided tour so I bought my bits and headed towards Adenau where we were all staying for the weekend. So we punched in the coordinates for our cottage in Adenau and made our way.
