Clio Ricardo's Liquid Yellow 200 EDC

On a 8J minimum should be a 215
Hmm, actually a set of Nankangs came up for sale yesterday for £100 a set used in 215 but after the convo with Brigsy he's not raving about them. I might put up a wanted ad for 215 Federals, the PMT in me will try for a decent set of used first.

The 595 are a great tyre for the cash. I pushed my 225/40/18 on the megs very hard on track and road and they were fantastic. In the cold or extreme wet they are a little less than impressive but as ever you drive to conditions ..

That's the idea of running a stretched tyre. It's all about fitment.
Fan boys just jumped on the bandwagon as it looks pretty cool.
If I ran a 215 it'd catch the arch and front strut ;)

£ vs performance wise, for a trackday tyre, I have no gripes with the NS2R tyres on my Meg'. Bit flakey in the wet, but when dry, had no problem staying with a mk3 265 running AO48r tyres around Croft.

I'm running the 180 compound. There's a softer 120 available too.

With the run up to Blyton I'm trying to have the wheels ready and fitted. I gave myself a week away from anything wheels and cars to regroup so this week I'm back in force.
Monday is a trial for on the wheel to see how it looks..... And I have to say.... Oh, frikkin yes! Well I think it works, I'm just hoping it still has this presence when the tyres are fitted and the car is on the ground. Stance is EVERYTHING, I'm following a set of new Bilstein B14 coilovers just in case it needs more of a drop so we'll see.

Happy with the white on Liquid Yellow i popped into Halfords yesterday to pick up more white primer. Last night I started prepping the wheels, tonight was finishing them off and spraying a few coats on the other 3 wheels. Tomorrow I'll finish priming them off and hopefully have the chance to have one in white gloss.

I was afraid I wasnt going to like the white. I am not 100% convinced they will look better than the gold but they certainly work well !

If all else fails I could paint them another colour.... Although there could be a bigger picture to the wheels if everything works numbers wise.

I'm not feeling the white on LY i'm afraid, but will reserve judgement for Blyton :D

I saw a purpley-red one of these for sale last week for under £11k. I'm kinda glad I bought the 197 cos i'd have been all over it otherwise!

Grafted most evenings last week and finished them yesterday afternoon. They're not the best, will make do, will probably hate them when they're fitted... Will probably sell them at a loss next week! I sold the Team Dynamics yesterday but have another option in the pipeline if the 8J ET49 works. I found out the Cup cars also use an 8J with an ET55 offset so I'm not far off. I don't know whether the cups use a different strut but I'm still half inch off the front strut.
