what should they have been getting then Rabson - 10s like you :icon_lol:

With cammed and mapped engines I was expecting low 14's at least.
My quadra's last time down the 1/4 was 15 something@ 60ish cause I'd split a liner about halfway down, turned the engine off and coasted the rest

I totally agree,

I was exspecting the low 14's

mmm

pretty much standard my car ran mid 14s, at the end I was was low 13s, 13.21sec to be precise, that wasnt cammed up or mapped up, seems that doing the previous mentioned gives you more power but maybe not as good for 1/4 mileing.

guy's,

both drivers dont have experiance with the 1/4 mile. They use the 21 as meeting/weekend car and are very careful with them. When they have some tryouts the time will improve for sure.

If you're doing it properly you have to be prepared to destroy something. Spectacularly. There isn't any midpoint, any half-jobs. Every single bit of that drivetrain is going to be massively stressed as you try and catapult 1.5 tonnes of metal from a standing start.

Thats why mine stayed parked up, I have as much self control as an angry bull in a red rag factory, and I didn't wanna be going home on an RAC truck in case something let go :icon_lol:

for sure, totally agree Jo. To be fair they have more balls than I do. Although after seeing some of those cars do the 1/4 mile I'm tempted to get the quadra on the strip next time.

I just worry about making a pratt of myself by doing something stupid like...stalling it HAHAHAHA..nah like binning it into the barrier or dumping all the oil on the start line!

What condition is the centre bearing on ya propshaft Dip?

centre bearing is fine, there aint alot of play.
After running the car on the 1/4 mile then finding out the time, i was a bit pee off. Spending alot of money on the engine and seeing the result, im not a happy bunny.

never mind just keep reving the balls off it.

That was a 2wd though. Big difference on the quarter.

The question is mate, are you happy with it out on the road? I love mine, it's immense fun and has the power right where I like it.....but this wouldn't suit 1/4 mile where it's all about top end. It's so much fun in fact I wouldn't care if it ran the 1/4 mile at 20 seconds.

If you want to lay a decent time down, strip all the seats and get all the **** and stereo out the boot, run a gallon of fuel at a time, fold the mirrors back and launch off the start like Satan and all the beasts of hell are chasing up behind you, keep the go-pedal jammed in the floor and flat shift the damn thing through the box like it's a cheap whore begging for a pasting.

That ^^ is what you were NOT doing, and thats why you got a crap time.
