Technically, he's right.....later phase 2 models did feature dizzyless ignition, if you read it in the correct way it makes sense :D

Besides, the article was based on our very own common faults and buyers guide so I KNOW thats right cos I wrote the sodding thing LOL

Phase 2 cars featured distributorless ignition

The term is correct. Phase 2 models DID feature dizzyless ign. Not ALL of them, and we define the ones that did as phase 3, but that is how we refer to them and not the politically correct defenition.
The term 'later' would also not be exact as there is K-platers out there with a distributor system in operation.

Back atcha

Er, not taht i'm aware of. It was a phrase that was debated and rowed over in the early days of the 21toc.

I seem to remember Lyn being a staunch 'late phase 2-er' but cos we're lazy and ph3 is easier to say it won over.

Well, I know they were not officially termed as a phase 3 but I am still happy to refer to them as phase 3.

You wanker.

:axe: :axe: :axe: :waah: toser :ban:

Look, you big fat thin streak o piss, if I want to call is ph3, then I will, and you aint ever gonna stop me.

Bastard.

Hey if I wanna call it Phase 3 i WILL and any welsh farmer-types with 80's goatee's and a taste for sheep flange ain't gonna stop me RIGHT

Don't make me come down there and sort ya out like! :saw:

Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3 Phase 3

Neh-nehneh-neh-neh--neeeeh :P

Look, mate. I dont want to get into an argument here, and I certainly dont want to stoop as low as calling each other names, but just because you're so freakishly tall, like a freaky tally tall, tall freak person, you think you can get away with anything.

I'm gonna continue calling it ph3 becuase that's my right. EVEN if it upsets you.

Sheep flange is better than boning a cadbury's flake up my arse, any day of the week! At least I wouldnt get rectal food poisening.

'The term 'later' would also not be exact as there is K-platers out there with a distributor system in operation'

as there IS K-platers out there with a distributor system - now while Im pissing myself with laughter at this thread, I cant sit by and look at stupid stupid grammar errors and let you get away with.

Here's one for you faggots....

Now tim you wannabe sheepshagger, we're talking conversions. I Hereby deem your car a phase 32 (dizzyless-dizzy) and my Quadra a phase 23 (dizzy-dizzyless)

Dont you be starting as well as the inbred bearded freak man known to the 'local' people as joff!

Shhh

Dave, i was born in a village.. i got big ears and webbed feet too

But then, thinking about it (See Joff you got me started now you complete TWAT  ) there are K-platers with distributors......so we should call them phase 2.5....there are also dizzy J-plates with brembo (ph3) rear calipers so they could be phase 2.25. Then there's the early ph3 with the uncoded ECU but the later ph3 with the coded ECU/immobiliser/ultrasonic alarm and tilt/slide roof will have to be ph 3.5

So from this thread (which was started may I add by joff the gimp chimp) we have gleaned there is now a phase 1 (pure and simple, original and best), Phase 2, 2.25, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 then add the conversions of ph23 and ph32.....and of course ph13 in case anyone converts a ph1 to dizzyless.

All purely for our reference only of course.
