I Hung on till I got confirmation of the rumour but I spoke to the editor today and its unfortunately true.....Retro car magazine is being cancelled!

Bummer.

There's a lot of people who aint happy about it but no-one is listening.

thats just gay

but the prob is..................

i only really ever buy it if its got a renault article or rally based one

unfortunately they try to cover tooooo much in a small mag

but it is a dam shame

pants pants pants

thats the only good mag out there that aint full of small engined shoe boxes with stupidly loud stereo`s and body kits that look like they`ve just crashed into a Halfords shop window. (you know who you are in your saxo`s and corsa`s)

thats just pants

It's always the same a good mag with a good loyal following goes belly up because for various reasons :(

On a brighter note has anyone read through this months TRC mag yet

Sorry to hear it - but I always felt Practical Performance Car was a miles better read - Retro Cars I can do standing in Smiths, and like Moggy, I only bought it when there was summat Reno in it, but that was down to support for the car not the mag.

PPC I can put down, and pick up in 2 months and find summat new

Sad though, RC did support the 21 well.

At least we got to have an buyers/owners/repair guide before it went tits up - good magazine but hey that's life - what happened to the CX turbo 2 they were wafting around in??

Oh yeah, we won't have to see Dave's mug in print for a while :D :D :D

....

its a shame, was a good read.

Its probably all that money they had to pay sibers to photo his cars thats made em go under!

Yeah yeah, I wish.

Never got a penny

Hopefully the guys on the staff will stay in the biz, and we can still annoy them all for features

Thats just shite  Why is it when a magazine seems to get all bases covered and turn out a cracking read for a wide variety of enthusiasts it has the plug pulled?? :x

For as long as I can remember now Retro cars has been the only magazine I have bought,I've long since outgrown the 'Lax flower' and 'Deadline' magzines...lets face it,it I wanted a mag full of porn i'd go and buy a copy of 'Club' or 'Mayfair'

I'm thinking that perhaps the main problem with Retro mag may have been on the marketing side,I mean you very rarely find it in the average corner shop,I have one petrol station in Northants that stocks it.
This does annoy me that I can't just pop down the local to get it,but sounds like i'm not gonna have to worry about that now :x

Incidently, didn't this happen to Performance GTI a year or so ago?? That dissappeared from the shelves only to bounce back with a new image...

It'll be a great loss to the classic car enthusiast to lose this magazine from the shelves.......
