Does anyone know if the Vee ECU can be reset to recalibrate for different fuel ratings etc. ?
This is quite common from my experience of EFI systems and Turbo cars and can often be done without the need for an in-line RON resister.
Usual way is to remove the EFI fuse for a couple of minutes to reset the fuel and ignition compensation maps. This allows octane booster and higher octane fuels or even lower octane fuels to be used. The ECU re-maps itself based on the detonation points detected by the knock sensor as each load site in the map is visited during the next few miles of driving.
If this makes sense, can this be done on the Vee ?
