Don't be such a miserable git Nas... You know you'll wish you'd been there when you see the pics and read the banter ;)

I am never miserable!! The vee has cost so much in March I need the money to be honest. I havent decided yet. It is ironic that the cost to keep the vee on the road has meant I cant really attend conversely if I kept it off the road and saved money I could afford to come! Stupid but true!!

I think many of us are feeling the pinch a bit Nas... I know you'd be there if all was 'rosie' ;)

Hopefully you'll be able to join us mate. :)

I hope in these hard times we can still justify these cars. Would be a shame to let the chavs have them!

I've always struggled to justify having one of these cars.. lol However.. I dont smoke, I dont drink to excess (very often.. lol ) and I work my bollox off. My car is my little 'hobbie', folk spend thousands on hobbies... so that alone is as much justification as I need :)

Just wish there were more hours in the day to earn more money!! [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I have spent best part of 3 grand on my vee already last month with the rear resprayed and minor damage repaired and still need to get the front resprayed, bumper repaired and get my new foglight on. I hardly wanna turn up with my vee looking the way it currently is [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I think I am better off waiting for FCS [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

I know where your coming from Nas and it is apart of vee ownership for many now I bet. There's so much I want to do in mine this year but with fuel prices going through the roof I doubt I can travel the length and breadth of the country like me and Shaun did the previouse year literally attending 99% of the meets.

And don't be so proud about what your vee looks like! . . . . Mines always been the shitter at the shows lol

Happy days indeed....

At least its a pretty coloured shitter now-a-days ;) Looking forward to seeing it in all its glory Brett.. with all the things you've had, or having done to it! :approve:

Yeah nas don't worry about what its like, i never really spent a lot on mine due to having cambelt and clutch replaced when I first got it, I used to hate trying to polish the stone chipped bumper, wings etc at meets I just felt I was wasting my time I too have spent nearly 4k on it in the last 2 months to get it mint again but at the end of the day it's a special looking car mint or not and most people wouldnt notice small details.
U know u want to come!

Well said Shaun! :approve:

I would love to come but I spent 2 grand sorting the vee out after the brake failure in France then another 1200 plus sorting my 1.6 out over the last couple of months. Thats what 6 grand through winter on cars and the vee has just sat at Bens for all that time unused!! Appearance wise fair point the reason it is stone chipped is cos I do use my vee a lot and track it [smilie=yay.gif] I will need new rears by summer as well. I have had to pay a shed load out on rising housing and building insurance, tax bill etc etc etc which has affected all of us.
V6 passion had a track day in Dijon early March I couldnt justify the expense of going :(
Obviously I am torn between my love of V6s and facing the realities of life.
My heart always rules my head but on this occasion I will have to pull out. Sorry guys and girls.

Be good to have you along Ben!

When are you heading down shaun? want to meet closer and head down, mini convoy style?

Sean & Ben : I'll be taking the V6 to this, I'm in Hampshire and would love a mini convoy - Let me know what the plan is. [smilie=thanks.gif] [smilie=thanks.gif]

List updated and forwarded to the RS forum.

The event starts at 11.00, but due to the amount of convoys being organised by other clubs, I reckon it'd be a good idea to get there earlier to avoid waiting in queue's to park. It'll be bad enough with all of us turning up at the same time.. ;)

So, I'm proposing we should get there for between 10.00 and 10.20. I'm led to believe we have a prime parking place in front of the museum, so I predict, not the same sort of manoeuvring capacity as the grass area we had last year.
This would mean meeting up at the Gaydon Inn for a departure of about 09.50.
There's also an Esso petrol station opposite for those that might need to top up with fuel for the car, or a coffee.

This sound ok for you guys..?

I'm looking at taking the M3 - M25 - M40.

Leaving mine at 07.00, stopping at Oxford Services on the M40 J8a (OX33 1JN) at about 08.00 - 08.15 for a drink and fuel for those that need it, arriving at the Gaydon Inn for about 09.30.

Any one want to meet up on the way up, please just give me a shout. We can always do a rolling meet! ;)

Got your PM, will plan to meet up around Frimley Area. Will drop you a PM mid week to arrange time/place (I'm at work at the moment).

Looking forward to a nice sunny day.

Hi Shaun

I will aim to meet at service's too but will confirm, could you PM a mobile number please just in case i run into trouble and cant make it.

Cheers

Steve

Don't think I can make this now. The Loony's at SG's for the week (and not even washed after the 400 mile weekend run!) :(
