Will be on ebay etc later. £4000 or tell me what it's worth :)

Sad times ahead. I've owned this for about 9 years and used it pretty much everyday. Cut to the chase I'm selling because it needs a fair bit of work doing to it to get it back up to standard. Going through the Failure sheet I get the impression the tester was having a bad day, it's the same garage I've taken it too for years and they've always been OK however this year they've gone to town on it. He's picked up things like it lowered and even failed it on having a loud exhaust so I'm not sure to what extent these faults are. However they are there and feel like it's time to pass the car on to someone who has the skills and time to sort it out. I would say this would be the perfect project for a restoration job with great engine and amazing paperwork it has all the potential to be a big money car as they command right now. The drivers side sill is off right now but i have all the clips to put it back on. Like I said its pretty much all there but please come and look if you're interested I certainly wouldn't buy a 35 year old car without looking at it, the kettle will be on. Obviously it will need trailering away please look through the MOT sheet see what you think and call or send me a msg through here for any questions you have more photos can be sent on request. Car is located in Flintshire North Wales.

Looks a nice car and some great bits

MOT man clearly found out his wife was sleeping with someone other than him and or was getting reviewed by vosa

Did not even think some of items even existed on the MOT

Wish MOT would fail useful things like crap plates, tinted front windows & windscreens far more problematic

Glwts

Ive since found out the MOT tester used to hang around with my now wife and fancied her. True story!

Looks a lot, but looks like it boils down to rear handbrake is crap and it wants a pair of sills, plus associated areas that go with them.
You can't really argue with most of it, if a light doesn't work.....well that's a fail, wipers....dunno, I ain't seem them working.....blue smoke...same.

It's the advisories that annoy me these days, I had a right ding dong with a garage a few years ago, mainly for a starting work I never was going to have done, no matter how insignificant, but also on advisories, among others he'd put rear tyres cos they were just under 4mm.......and I mean he looked for a spot they were under 4mm.
That's not close to legal limit, so why mention it, I would have had a test that stated it was ready for some tyres, not good if I was selling, when car was retested he knocked it off.....

But , your 5 looks a good basis for a resto, plenty of paper, and dealer plates is always a big tick for me.
If you can't shift it , I've got a envelope with a full thousand pounds in it!........... and a low loader itching to go......I know, I can f**k off!
Good luck, should fly out.

Not sure about that. I believe it's a Birmingham reg plate but I have no documents in the history relating to anything Birmingham.

I've never sold a car on eBay before but there's a few fools who seem to want it for nothing and tell me that it's over priced.

Tell 'em to go fuck 'emselves.....it's an auction, so it fetches whatever it fetches, if someone is daft enough to pay 10k....then let them.
You try and be sensible or fair , someone will tell you a tail, then a week later they'll be after tripling their money.
Just get contact details if you can of anyone who seems genuine, then if final bidder is a prick you can negotiate with them , I've had to relist cars multiple times to weed out fools.
