no way you'll get 2k for what is essentially and old crappy renault mate, sorry to break it to you but only way you'd get that is to a collector and it would need to be standard.

With the current climate you can can get 172's from 800 at auction.

Bad time to sell, great time to buy sparky just bought a P plate scooby estate for 6 ton with 2 months tax and a full years mot

Looks nice. Not a sellers market at the moment. However worth putting on eBay if your wanting that sort of money, suprised what people pay when you put the word raider in the title :)

i recon its worth the 2k, people forget that that they are a 'cult' car, r19's are worth a few hundred pounds if thats the case, surely they are written off everytime we tax them?

good luck, you'd need to hold out for as long as poss to get what you want, but i have, and would gladly pay 2k for it if i was after one and it ticked all the boxes

i'm not trying to be a bitch, but surely if chris h has 2 19's for sale, in todays market thats about £350 for the pair?!?!

apologies I went a bit far.

What I was saying was it will onyl attract an enthusiast, a biliek your cars, your 5. To a normal person its just an old crappy renault that shopudl be scrapped.

At this time no enthusiasts have money to waste on cars they want, most people want to keep their houses etc

Of course it's a buyers market at the moment. Anything you can do to help the sale will... help :) Maybe some photos and receipts but otherwise the ad is good and i'm sure the offer to meet half way (distance) is appreciated.

But yeah get some pics up and try and get people interested in a price (y)

fair play, i wasn't aiming to single you out, just tried to cut the poor lad some slack..

there are 2 people that stereotypically buy the 5 tho...

the 19yr old lads that pay 2k insurance because they want a dumpvalve, and sell them after 2 weeks because they think a std headgasket will cope with 45psi

and the entusiastic side (not neccesarily enthusiasts) who know what they are, and buy them for that reason, and generally dont get many probs as they have some mechanical knowledge

I think thats a good analogy mate!

Maybe its just me, but i would remove anything in the ad that says the car has been anywhere near a track. Whenever i see that (apart from on a track day car obviously) it always puts me right off.

Nice car though mate! Always fancied a Raider.

Exactly the same as me matt (y) I started reading and as soon as I saw 'track' I just thought 'no thanks'

Just picked up my 2nd raider today, this one only cost me £200, cant say its anything quite good as this. with dents and engine in boot but its still workable and will be driveable some time in the new year. When it stops raining!!!
