Happy New Year to everyone.

Can anybody assist with photos or information on how and where the phase 1 metal heat shield is mounted. Had all brackets redone with my turbo 2 parts and it’s the last bit of the build now.

I got some really helpful photos from Chris Smith but now trying to work out where it mounts at back of engine block.

A few years back I purchased a mount supposedly for a phase 1 heat shield but I’m not 100% sure now or am I just over complicating how it all goes together!

Hi @Lee1707,

Looks like you've got the right kit there, you will just need to piece it all together..

Bolts 1 - 4 are all on the gearbox and numbers 1,3,4 are the ones that go into the starter motor. (A little unsure about #2....? Seems a little strange.. perhaps that is where the heatshield bracket bolts to this bracket... hand on, I've just had another look at the photo, yes it think that's what happens.

Bolts 5 and 6 go into the back of the Turbo with the elbow, you will see where they go when you hold it up..

Looking at it, the other welded bracket, it on the wrong way round. I would fix numbers 1 - 6 in place and then see where the largest bracket seems to touch..?
