renault 19 1721cc idle speed valve

hi my renault races at around 2000 rpm when started and after driving for 10 minutes drops down to around 1000 rpm. any ideas ? thanks

Take out the ISCV and give it a good clean with CRC or wd40, valve should rotate easily by holding it in your hand and giving a good flick of the wrist both ways, they get a bit gummed up in time. and make sure there are no air leaks in your intake piping from the airbox to your throttle body.
