Renault 11 Turbo Phase 2 Restoration

If you can swap the switches to check, that's easy, beware it may be black wire syndrome in the copper conductor that's the problem
I tried a few different switches Steve, and had no luck with any of them.. got a horrible feeling there may be a damaged wire at the end of the long screw that holds one of the speakers in… 😩

I once destroyed a brand new 5 GT turbo electric window motor as it was getting 12 v but not working, the fault was that the last 8" or so of the power supply wires had gone black and would not carry enough current to make the motor work, easy job to cut back and replace, but only after stupid here having noticed that the motor looked clean, decided to put it through the bandsaw to see what was inside.and discovered that the previous owner had fitted a brand new motor, which didn't sort the fault. Should have bench tested it before sawing it open!!!

Had a fiddly day on Sunday, dying some of the black plastics, back to black, in the Lovley winter sunshine:

Did a little side by side comparison, to show the results of a couple of layers of this solvent dye gives. Outer two dyed, centre one as it was:

Bobbed it on the car this evening:

And then after far too many minutes of fecking about, I got my first interior light working also:

Following my new post:

I can now say with confidence, I WAS piping up the Fuel Pressure Regulator incorrect... so going to connect this new one i've got off @Nick Kettle and (I'm sure) find that the engine is running sweeter than ever!!
