Recommendations for decent Renault dealership in Berkshire?

Bungle

New Member
I'm near Maidenhead and I work near Reading, but I don't mind travelling a bit for a decent dealer. I've tried Wokingham Motors, who I haven't been hugely impressed with, so if someone has a recommendation for a good dealer (especially a good parts dept), please let me know.

Theale Motor works are the best I can find around the reading area.

Bungle - Do yourself a favour and pop along the M4 to Scotty's barn near Swindon. Sg motorsport is his title and a clio v6 specialist.

He is an authorized Renault trader i think. Well bits I have had from him have come from Renault anyways. I travel 160 mile each way to take my car to him. Says it all really.

If your happy to have a non-Renault stamp (which I am, but I know some worry over) then as steve says Scott's your man. He does ALL the work on my car. Highly recommended! I'd never trust Reanult with any work anymore (Warrant gone etc). However if you need stealers for warranty work, or need a loan car, then theale motor works are OK. But I have had some problems there in the past. The best of a bad bunch probably sums them up.

Peter - Thought Scotty could do warranty work? Maybe wrong tho. Maybe worth a phone call if your after warranty work.

He can't do warranty work AFAIK. But i might be wrong. Best check with him I guess. He sent my car off to a nearby Renault dealer to get some done for me a while back. TBH I'm not bothered either way as my warranty is well and truely void! Also run out too! :winky:

Some prefer to use a main-dealer tho. IMO its a mistake for an unusual car like the Vee tho.

I can't recommend Scott enough! :approve: Just be ready for some doggy drool on your trousers! :winky:
