Just for the record I checked mine this evening after experiencing the above and as suspected a loose off side bolt was the issue. Just to add for the record the correct torque setting is 9 danm. Would wiki it if I knew how to....
In the wiki for this at "Diagnosing Suspension Noises And Knocks" it mentions removing engine covers, is it s'posed to say Under tray covers? Ive got a knocking noise as described on my vee, seems like a common problem and imo is a serious issue if bolts are comming loose on a number of vees suspension components. Surely Renault should have put more appropriate fixings so that they would not "rattle" loose?

You may be able to update teh Wiki yourself - feel free.
Finding the right words and phrasiologyu can be less of a priority when you are getting the bones of the article done but being able to contribute to the article is the Wiki philosophy so anyone can update or correct
Cheers K1ano i wasnt picking at the terminology used just clarifying it was the undertray and not the engine cover as im a novice when it comes to mechanical work but not afraid to give it ago if I know what im doing.
I had a knock from the rear of mine when I pulled off and stop, just started striping it down and removed the rear engine mount and it was F***ed. Those who have seen these mounts will know they are crap on the Mk1 and the Mk2 has a modified one that wont fit the Mk1 (shows it was never upto the job) no chance of a renault recall on the Mk1 mounts.
