Interesting thread on cliov6passion.fr - where a Vee owner recently got his Mk1 Vee steering wheel changed under guarantee by Renault ( link includes pic of replacement steering wheel ):
volant pour clio V6 phase1 http://www.cliov6passion.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10177. So, do Renault have a secret cache of Mk1 steering wheels?

The replaced steering wheel in the v6passion thread looks different than a normal ph1 172/182/v6 "out of factory" steering wheel.
(just compare the two pictures and you'll notice the difference at the bottom of them)

...So, no secret cache i think.

Last month I decided to have the V6 steering wheel re-covered on the Phase 2 so visited Jack at Royal Steering Wheels to check out his workshop and to discuss my options.

I have to say that I couldn't be happier with the quality of the finished product, Jack's communication during the process, the speed at which he completed the job and the price.

I went for an OEM look and the result is excellent and all for just £110 plus postage.

Cheaper! Agree with Jonathon's comments, Jack was superb on communication! Great great service and would recommend to anyone.

Snappy did mine (ph1) from reclaimed Clio seat material (alcantara + leather), awesome result, great turnaround time & price, plus he was 100% communicative during the whole process. Would recommend to anyone thinking of getting theirs done.
