Big thanks to Brett for arranging the club stand again this year, and to Blake, Andrew and Yorky for their help setting up and packing away again. [smilie=thanks.gif]
Silverstone Classic is such a great event, and so so much to see over the weekend!
Great to see all those able to attend on the Saturday. A fair bit of last minute ticket swapping etc, but all came good. The pitch we were given couldn't have been much better I think... right in the middle of clubs and trade stands, with plenty of space around us, which makes all the difference. The Silverstone staff were as attentive as ever, along sure we were ok and had everything we required to enjoy our stand over the weekend.
For anyone not been, or to anyone thinking of attending next year.. it's huge. If you like wandering around the many varied club stands, browsing around the large trade village.. watching all the track action with a cold drink or an ice cream.. through to ambling through the buzzing pit garages where you'll find just about everything from period works Mini Coopers, 90's BTCC's through to 70's and 80's F1 cars and Plymouths... McLaren F1's and LeMans group C cars.. It's amazing!!!
We spent a bit more time around the club stand this year, and was really surprised at the amount of genuine attention and interest our cars, and the club were getting. Among others, I met the current owner or LY #310, new owner of LY #340, the previous owners of one if the two Michelin Trophy v6's and Pete's '666' BG 255, and a very nice chap that has a R5 turbo in blue.. that he's owned from 12 months old as a company car. Including various other folk that elude me at the minute.. Look out for plenty of pics appearing online too, plenty of pro photographers snapping away [smilie=yay.gif]
