Re: Kimbolton Show - Sunday 10th July 2011

As a late arrival to the Vee scene, my name's not on the list - However it's my sister's wedding in Ipswich on the Saturday before and this is just a short detour on our way home on the Sunday. So we'll be popping in to see you all and say hello. Looks like a mighty fine event. I showed my wife the website and her eye's lit up at the picture of a pack of Beagles - LINK. She's a dog fan and we own a Beagle ourselves, so this was the icing on the cake! See you all there!

Steve / James, couple of quick questions;
1/ What time do gates open for general public or could wife & kid get in with me?
2/ Any access to water for cleaning cars?

Someone on the gate to let people in from 7.30am. Just tell them you are part of the club setting up team. :)
Usually find a hose over by the toilets. I will have a spare bucket should anyone need to borrow it.

Generally this show is for the early risers and we aim to have all cars parked on the stand by 8.30am.

Shaun will be there at the crack of dawn eager to help you display your Vee best as possible. Kimbolton is a limited space so no luxury of 6ft between cars. Also we must unsure our cars do not encroach into neighbouring club stand space.

I'm looking forward to a relaxed day. :)

Really great day today guys. Was a lot of fun to meet some new faces and have a chat a bit more to those I've already met!

It absolutely pissed it down on the drive home, so now the Vee is dirty again [smilie=doubt.gif]

Oh well, was definitely worth it!

Hopefully see some of you guys in a few weeks in the Lakes!

Fantastic day everyone - my fave meet. Sorry Caroline and I had to shoot off early (it wasn't because we saw the black cloud) just on our way back down to Maidstone! It's gonna be a late one. Great to see everyone again as always - and a massive thanks to steve and co for all the work with the BBQ. Will post pics up later.

Great day, thanks to all. Dont even talk to me about the rain 4 and a half hour stop over in coventry to wait for it to clear and roads to dry, got home 11.30 pm !!!

Lovely day at Kimbolton, and it was great to meet everyone again and those I finally got to meet.

Huge thanks to Michelle and Steve for sorting all that food out, I know it was extra difficult for them this year.

The awesome T2 was a real treat to see. Thank you very much Martin (Yorky) for sharing it with us. :bow:

I've just got back home and I'm already looking forward to next year.
