Megane R26 - Standard to Track

What spec is your meg at the mo? Goes well in the video
Thanks mate - still seemed to be 0.5 off my pace in Feb with the BC's - but I have better discs then :)

Its AST5100 in 80N/80N (456lb)
DS1.11 front with HC Brembo 312mm, DS2500 rear; RBF660
253BHP with Airtec IC / Milltek Cat Back / PiperX panel Filter
Vibra Technics Engine and Gearbox Mounts, powerflex black series lower arm bushes

-2.5 front camber, -0.5mm front toe on each side :)
 
Update time:

Finally managed to get around to having the RenaultSport Sabelt Steering wheel fitted, along with @Ricardo 's hand carbon fibre cruise control bracket! - looks and feels amazing, pressing the horn is a lot of fun now, buttons do have such a great solid feel to them (y).

Gave the wheel a good coating of Gtechniq Smart Fabric before fitting also.

Wasn't getting on too well with the plain HC Brembo discs on track (or road sometimes also), getting too hot too quickly, and leading to poor braking performance.

Went for the 312mm J Hook offering from Godspeed at £125, £137.50 inc DPD next day delivery.

Initial thoughts: so far so good, I went on the cheap side and kept the old pads on as they were very new, so 30 miles of slow stop start driving seemed to ease them in a little, then a few stomps at 50-20, then 60-20 and they seemed to be performing well, the grooved feel on the brake pedal has returned and is something I quite like actually.

Have a trackevening at the end of the month booked, so will be able to report back fully - can't wait to try out the wheel on track!
 
Sad to say that the day has come :( - the car is up for sale.

Its on Pistonheads - would be great if an enthusiast could get his/her hands on it and give it the life it deserves :)

RenaultSport Megane R26 (Ultra High Track/Road Specification With AST Suspension)

Spec as it stands :

For Sale I have a 2008 08 R26 F1 230 RenaultSport Megane Coupe in Deep Black
Car was bought totally standard ( 2 previous owners and renault pre register, I am the 3rd actual owner) in September 2014 on 62k.

All modifications have been carried out professionally by Rentec Autocare in Edinburgh (Renaultsport specialists) unless expressly stated.
All parts have been purchased brand new (bar passenger harness which was unused and verified by Sabelt as 100% genuine with proof, seat mounts were used)
FSH, 87k currently; Cambelt and Waterpump at 62k by Rentec in Edinburgh.
Serviced meticulously by Rentec Autocare, with numerous stamps and countless receipts with very frequent oil changes.

MOT till July 2017, Next service not due for 8,000 miles. Common wear and tear such as (Hub Bearings, wheel bearings, lower arm bushes, exhaust mounts, engine mounts, battery & clutch) all Replaced during my ownership.

Corbeau Sprint XL FIA Bucket Seats 2020 dated (specifically HANS compatible), K-Tec Subframes (Drilled out to accommodate seat), OMP Side Mounts. Drivers seat has a seat runner to accommodate all sizes of driver. All fitted using high tensile bolts.
Full Airbag Delete using Renault software CLIP (so no warning lights on dash at all) including passenger airbag under dash.
Rear Interior Delete (rear door cards, roof lining, rear seats) front door cards & front carpet all remaining
Renaultsport Sabelt 330mm Steering wheel, fitted with OMP Boss, custom made Real Carbon Fibre 6 Button Cruise Control bracket (to retain full horn and cruise control functionality) Only ever used with gloves, so steering wheel in mint condition, not 'shiny' or matted at all - as new and protected with Gtechnic Smart Fabric to keep it this way.

Wheels, Tyres and Exterior:
Genuine R26.R Boot Lid Spoiler professionally spray painted and fitted in 100% Matching Deep Black
Standard R26 Multispoke Alloys with Toyo R888-R Tyres in GG Compound (Medium) all alloys straight and true with no deflation at all, alloys have age related marks but nothing major at all, 1 alloy has light kerb scratch near the centre of it , alloys are not perfect but certainly don't look bad for the age as you can see in the pictures.

Thanks mate - yeah I thought I'd never sell it as well tbh - but having not tracked it since July, its a waste having such a car and not using it really - nothing lasts forever sadly and its been 2.5 years.
Who knows whats next tbh, just need to clear my mind for a bit - it may be a few weeks before this goes as well, given its a fairly specialist car.

Hopefully someone will appreciate all the history, the high end parts and the fact the work has all been done by Scotland's premier RenaultSport Specialist Garage - Rentec in Edinburgh :)
