21 Turbo R21 Turbo QUADRA RHD Braking Problems

Hi all, i didn't post for a long, but am kinda busy, mounting my house.

Don't know if you will recognize me, but am a French guy.
Am the owner of former Malcolm Bailey's R21 Turbo Quadra RHD.

And for few months, am on trouble with brakes on this car...

In fact, no more assistance, the pedal is veeeeery hard to push.

Tried to change pump (cause it made fuses blow up)... So has been changed.
After that, changed pressure switch (bought one new).

And nothing changed, still hard.

So, for me, i'm trying my best to find few parts, but in France, it's impossible, and I really want to fix it.

So, if you can try to help me find those References, could be good :
- 7701203200 (Master cylinder). Just in case it could come from here...
- 7701203201 (Bloc electrovanne)
- 7701202800 (accumulator)

For the rest, i can find equivalent.

Thanks in advance, and take care, all

Julien

Pump kicks in when it drops to 1850psi, turns off at 2100psi - thats enough to inject the brake fluid under your skin if it releases on to your hand and why you need to pump the pedal about 20 times with the ign off to depressurise it before you work on the high pressure circuit.

So that pump Accumulator has a "shifting point" of 100 Bar (Which is 1450psi) so it's in the right ballpark..

That's what we call infos... Thanks, guy, you rock...

And for the visit, if only it was still possible... Will try to have infos with competition area (who rules everything about visits...) and will keep you informed...

Thanks again, will warn you as soon as i receive my accumulator ;)

Hi,

News, I bought an accumulator... must wait for its arrival, now.

And, little question, just for my culture... the pump has a pipe mounted down, and a hose with banjo screw (we call it like that in France) on the up... my question : is the liquid coming from down to up (pipe --> hose with banjo) or reverse ?

And for the rest, i said i'm gonna try for visiting the plant, but can't promise it !!! (even for my club, couldn't organise it yet...)

And last thing, I remember past days, I was there for Bewl Water, with Damien Bailey who was cooking, maybe I saw few people from this forum....

Her are news from this day. Hope the Quadra will soon run again like new !!!

Regards
Julien

OK, that's what I presumed it was... coming from down, to up...
But in the future, i will need to change everything, it's not in good condition !!

Thanks for confirmation of what I guessed ;)

Don't worry, I'm doing my best to keep it running, and i told you all, in memory of this friend, who was a second father for me when I lost my dad (and he was present with the Quadra), I'm now attached deeply than I should to keep this car almost new. So, accumulator ordered, will tell you when it'll be mounted ;)
Keep the fatih

Hi all, I think it was bewl water two years later... we had rain (so water...)

And, sorry for Big Steve, but the accumulator Febi you adviced me is not the good one for the Quadra. Not the good screw size...

So, need to send it back, and find another one :( (should say a bad word... but will avoid it...)

So, back to the beginning... damn it !!
