21 Turbo R21 Turbo QUADRA RHD Braking Problems

Hi all, i didn't post for a long, but am kinda busy, mounting my house.

Don't know if you will recognize me, but am a French guy.
Am the owner of former Malcolm Bailey's R21 Turbo Quadra RHD.

And for few months, am on trouble with brakes on this car...

In fact, no more assistance, the pedal is veeeeery hard to push.

Tried to change pump (cause it made fuses blow up)... So has been changed.
After that, changed pressure switch (bought one new).

And nothing changed, still hard.

So, for me, i'm trying my best to find few parts, but in France, it's impossible, and I really want to fix it.

So, if you can try to help me find those References, could be good :
- 7701203200 (Master cylinder). Just in case it could come from here...
- 7701203201 (Bloc electrovanne)
- 7701202800 (accumulator)

For the rest, i can find equivalent.

Thanks in advance, and take care, all

Julien

Hi my fellow followers (at least here...)

I'm still on the ABS... Found that the new abs pump received didn't make fluid enter it, so bought a new one... and the new one was dead, so send it back...

Am searching for a new ABS Pump now, and did send mine for restoration in Romania.

Fingers crossed, maybe the quadra will take road again before end of 2022 !!! :D

Pump found, and seems to work... but without removing rust, think it will be the end of this car !!

@DaveL485 you have any lead on panels?
No, you have to make everything unless odd items show up on the internet.

@pouyoux look at the thread for my Quadra you will see the common areas and how they were repaired. The rear arms are very thick so they would probably clean up OK if they were blasted and powder coated. Most other stuff is fabrication, the rear supports are also thick and may need cleaning up and treating more than replacing. The amount of time it takes is the worst part, if you dont do it yourself it can be very expensive.

I'm gonna see it... and first, all will be repaired.
When it'll work again, we'll plan the way to restore it.

Lots of work, but we all decided to renew it as well.

And the funniest of all... go on GOOGLE, type "renault boerlage edam", and see reputation notes... someone saw my car, and gave five stars because he fell in love with it ;)

Hi all, news from my Quadra.... arrived in Netherlands... the diagnose is not good at all...

Calculator seems Out of Service (electrical + on ground, due to Rust)
New pump bought not working (third one... not lucky).
ABS Targets have lost teeth (need to change almost all "cardans")
Rust behind the dashboard, sideskirts, etc...

So am still searching for a complete car for parts, even metal parts, to cut and weld on my car, cause for Malcolm's legacy, I need to save it... if I can't find any car for parts, will need to change my decision during next summer...

Thanks for your help !!!!!

Regards
Julien

Find Cop Jo in Belgium, he will be able to help you find parts in Europe.

Thanks, will ask my wife, for Facebook, but doens't want to leave this car as I can repair it... the attachment is way too important. (dedicated to Malcolm...) !! You will be informed as soon as possible, my friends, thanks ;)

Hi all, connected today to announce something "maybe good" for me... but with what happened, it won't have the same taste...

But, by the way, I "maybe" found a donor car... a Quadra, LHD !!!

But one thing will be missing, for sure... so if someone has in his pocket (if i should say) a RHD master cylinder with the tank for a RHD, perfectly working, it will be the only part I'll need.

With all of that, I'll be able to start restoration !!! (so it's quite à good new, as well !!)

And video will be posted during this week-end, had too much to do. But started to work on my R25 Baccara, two days ago (two years I didn't have any time to put my hands on cars... so am glad).

Have a nice day, all, and take care (security first)
Julien, a.k.a. pouyoux
